Ian M. Watt joined the firm in 2017 and concentrates his practice in the areas of personal injury and workers’ compensation litigation.

Ian was born and raised in rural Eastern Ohio in the town of Jewett, which is approximately one hour West of Pittsburgh. Ian’s small town roots took him to Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio where he obtained a bachelor of arts degree in Spanish Area Studies with a minor in History. During his time at Kenyon College, Ian played Center and Guard on Kenyon’s football team.

Ian received his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in May of 2017. While in law school, Ian was a Certified Student Practitioner with the University of Pittsburgh’s Criminal Prosecution Practicum. In the Practicum, Ian interned in the Domestic Violence Unit of the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office where he conducted multiple preliminary hearings for domestic violence cases.

Prior to joining the firm as an associate, Ian clerked at Friday & Cox, LLC for nearly two years, where he honed his legal research, writing and advocacy skills. Ian also interned with Judge Edward J. Borkowski of the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County, Criminal Division and gained valuable insight from within a judge’s chambers.

Ian is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association and Pennsylvania Bar Association.
